| Betaine | Norkem supply Betaine 95% Hydrochloride (Betaine 95% HCL) with anti-cake and Betaine Anhydrous. Betaine has long been a known functional nutrient in broiler nutrition. In the past, it was mainly used in poultry feed as betaine anhydrous, extracted from sugar beets. Norkem offer an alternative to natural Betaine which is available as synthetically produced Betaine Hydrochloride. Recent research has shown that nutritional properties of these products are equal, unveiling a cheaper, non-hygroscopic and year round source of betaine for the feed industry. | Calcium Chloride | Calcium chloride is commonly used to prevent ice formation and as a de-icer. This is particularly useful on road surfaces. It is also more effective at lower temperatures than sodium chloride. It also has uses in food applications, namely ice creams, beer production and cheeses. When distributed for this use, it usually takes the form of prills (small, white balls a few millimeters in diameter). Solutions of calcium chloride can prevent freezing at temperature as low as ?52??C (?62??F). As an ingredient, it is listed as a permitted food additive in the European Union for use as a sequestrant and firming agent with the E number E509, and considered as "Generally Recognized As Safe" (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. | Choline Chloride on Corn and Silica | Choline chloride is a common additive in animal feeds for both farm animals and pets. As an animal feed supplement, Choline enhances and accelerates growth in animals during times of rapid development. It is especially effective at doing so in poultry as Choline Chloride aids bone development and helps to maintain cell membrane integrity and porosity. Choline also helps to prevent "fatty liver". | Citric Acid | Citric Acid is a weak organic acid. It is a very versatile chemical and as such is used in a variety of sectors but predominantly relating to the Food and Drink industry where it can be used as a chelating agent, flavour, food colouring, acidity regulator and preservative amongst others. It is also used in cleaning, detergents, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. At room temperature it is a white crystalline powder and can exist in either anhydrous form (water free) or as a monohydrate (containing one water molecule). | Copper Oxychloride | Dicopper chloride trihydroxide is the chemical compound with the formula Cu2(OH)3Cl. It is often referred to as tribasic copper chloride (TBCC), copper trihydroxyl chloride or copper hydroxychloride.
