Cocoamidopropyl Betaine Application: This is an amphoteric surfactant which means it acts as both anionic (cleansing) and cationic (conditioning) depending on the pH and concentration of the product. This, plus the surfactants foam boosting properties makes it a great choice in shampoo, body wash and 2-in-2 conditioning shampoos. Activity: This surfactant is approximately 30% active in water. Dose rate: Typically used at between 5-30%. Solubility: Water. Formulating Tips: It is best practice to combine different surfactant technology into a formula - hair or skincare so as to achieve a better cleansing action while keeping the formula as mild and gentle as possible. Therefore, Cocamidopropyl Betaine is often combined with anionics and non-ionics (Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate and Decyl Glucoside). That said, it is possible to use this on its own. Group: Surfactants. Alternative Names: Cocamidopropyl Betaine. CAS No. 61789-40-0. Pack Sizes: 100g, 500g, 1Kg, 5Kg, 20Kg, and above upon request. Product ID: RMNSCOCOBETA. EINECS: 263-058-8. New Directions Australia

Decyl Glucoside Glucoside surfactants are also known as sugar surfactants. They are good foaming, solubilising and wetting agents and are well suited to skin cleansing formulations where they are often used as tertiary surfactants (blended with anionic and amphoterics). While glucosides can be used in shampoos and hair formulations, their use at high levels is not recommended as their chemistry means they tend to tangle and dry the hair. As glucosides are produced by a polymerisation reaction they don't have an exact chemistry (chain length) so Decyl, Caprylyl/Capryl and Coco Glucoside cross over in their properties. Due to this, in most formulations there is little benefit in adding more than one glucoside type to each formula. Features: 50% Active. Non-Ionic. Essential Oil-in-water solubiliser. Foam agent. Surfactant for skin and hair cleansing. PEG free. Group: Surfactants. CAS No. 58846-77-8. Pack Sizes: 100g, 500g, 1Kg, 5Kg, 20Kg, and above upon request. Product ID: RMNSDECYGLUC. EINECS: 261-459-7. Zero Zero - Cleaner Sanitiser MPI Approved C38 and C41. Designed for safe and easy cleaning of all food based premises to maintain the highest hygiene standards. The surfactant system in ZERO is based on linear carbon chain lipophiles which match the lipids fund in natural oils, fats and waxes. This allows ZERO to remove fatty and oily food soils more easily. Proteinacious and starch based soils are removed due to ZERO’s unusually high level of deflocculating and peptising agents. Sanitising is achieved with a 5% true quaternary content, plus 2.5% amphoteric surfactant that becomes a quaternary as pH lowers when rinsed, and a peptising system, all of which combined enable ZERO to kill both gram negative and gram positive bacteria, and viruses. ZERO achieves better hygiene results by working over a longer contact time when compared with conventional technology. Pack Sizes: 200 Litre, 20 Litre, 5L. Ecochem Limited
