| Natural Emulsifying Wax - Olive Derived (Bulk) | This emulsifier is a blend suitable for use as the only emulsifier in a cream or lotion. It is derived from a blend of vegetable oil fatty acids and wheat and oat proteins and helps to emulsify and thicken a cream. Features Include: Self-emulsifying system for O/W cream and lotion. Peg-free, self-emulsifying O/W system. No need for co-emulsifiers or stabilizers. Liquid Crystal generator, creams and gels. | Plantaserv P Preservative (Bulk) | INCI Name: Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol. Usage: Use between 0.75-1.5% in a formulation, it is soluble in the water phase and is usually added at the end of manufacturing. This is not classified as a natural preservative due to the caprylyl glycol. Properties: Unique paraben-free and formaldehyde-free liquid blend preservative featuring phenoxyethanol as a primary active ingredient in an emollient base. Plantaserve P provides effective formulation protection from bacteria and yeast. It can be used alone or in combination with other preservatives. Applications: Skin care cream and lotions, body butters, styling gels, shampoos, sunscreens and formulation containing silicones. Group: Preservatives. | Portulaca - Liquid Extract [Glycerine Based] (Bulk) | Botanical name: Portulaca Oleracea. This liquid, typically a light yellow colour, usually contains a slight odour. Portulaca Extract is developed as a basic ingredient for cosmetics (cleansers, lotions etc), toiletries (shower gels, shampoos etc) and pharmaceuticals (acne treatment etc). Main Effects: Anti-inflammatory. Anti-irritation. Anti- allergy. Hence, making it a prime raw material for assisting in the treatment of burns, skin sores, irritations, insect bites, eczema etc. An extremely effective ingredient in acne treatments. It is also rich in Omega-3 fatty acid which makes it great on dehydrated skin. Recommended Dosage: Between 3.0 - 5.0%. Interesting Fact: Portulaca Oleracea in ancient times was looked upon as one of the anti-magic herbs. It was supposed to protect from evil sprits and if carried was supposed to attract love and luck!! (Lavender & Franklin, 1996). Portulaca is regularly used in bush tucker and is a great alternative to spinach! Water soluble. Add to water based products after cooling. Not soluble in oil but can be used in an emulsion.
