The AxyPrep PCR Cleanup Kit employs a special Binding Solution in combination with an AxyPrep spin column to achieve high selectivity and recovery of DNA fragments. This product is designed to purify DNA fragments > 75 bp from PCRs and other enzymatic reactions, with an expected recovery of 70-90%. It is not necessary to remove mineral oil overlays from the PCRs before purification. This protocol will remove unincorporated primers (<50 not), enzymes and unlabelled and fluorescent dye-labelled mononucleotides. The purified DNA fragments are suitable for a variety of applications, such as sequencing, ligation, restriction analysis, in vitro transcription, etc. Categories: Laboratory Molecular & Microbiology Reagents, Nucleic Acid Extraction Clean Up Kits. Corn Starch (Bulk)
Information: Corn Starch is the starchy part of the maize (corn) grain and is put to use in cosmetics as a thickener in emulsion based products, an absorbing agent for oils in dry shampoos, and a feel modifier. Physical Form: Fine Powder (non nano). Application: Use between 0.2-2% in your finished creams or lotions to help absorb excess grease on the skin, to mattify the texture, to help reduce product stickiness or to give a slightly silky feel to the end product. Corn Starch can also be used as an alternative to Talc in baby powders. It can be coloured, fragranced and blended with other ingredients for an active powder. As corn starch is an excellent oil absorber it can also be used in dry shampoos either for shake-through applications or sprayed on. Group: Active. Alternative Names: Zea Mays Starch, Aqua. EINECS: 232-679-6, 231-791-2. CAS No. 9005-25-8, 7732-18-5. Pack Sizes: 1KG; 5KG; 20KG and above upon request. Product ID: RMAACORNSTAR.

Emulsifying Wax Vegetable (Bulk)
This easy-to-use emulsifying wax is derived from plant-based alcohols and sugars. It is typically used to help form oil-in-water emulsions such as lotions, creams, foundations, creamy face and body masks and other emulsified products. Material Origin : It is derived from sustainable palm source, wheat and corn. Appearance: Pastilles or Flakes. Use Level: Typically at 3-6% as the emulsification system in a cream. Can be used at higher levels where it will thicken the emulsion substantially, however using more than 6% in most formulations may lead to formula instability. Consider increasing your product's viscosity by adding Cetearyl Alcohol as a stand-alone ingredient plus this emulsifier used as suggested above. Chemistry: Non-Ionic. Solubility: Heat and melt in the oil phase of your formula. Group: Emulsifiers. Alternative Names: Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Aqua. EINECS: 267-008-6, 928-659-8, 231-791-2. CAS No. 67762-27-0, 246159-33-1, 7732-18-5. Pack Sizes: 100G; 500G; 1KG; 5KG; 20KG and above upon request. Product ID: RMSWCETEGLUC. Formula cautions: This emulsifier has a broad-tolerance for actives including acids, vitamins and salts and in many cases will be the only emulsifier required. However, we do recommend fully testing your emulsions prior to scale-up and in some cases, a secondary emulsifier or emulsion stabiliser may be useful. Please Note: As with any manufacturing process, New Directions encourages small, lab scale manufacturing for evaluation purposes prior to full commercial manufacturing.

Glyceryl Stearate Citrate Emulsifying Wax (Bulk)
Use Levels: 0.5-4% as supplied. Origin: This is derived from Canola oil and Corn and is 100% palm free. The product is of European Origin. Chemistry: Anionic. Application: This emulsifier is anionic in nature and as such is a useful secondary emulsifier in a cream or lotion. It is not impossible that this could be used as the only emulsifier but in most cases it will need to be paired with a non-ionic emulsifier or gelling agent to allow a more stable emulsion to be formed. This ingredient does meet the requirements of many natural product certification companies. Use Instructions: Add to the oil phase and heat before combining with your water to form an emulsion. Additional information: This ingredient is GMO free and hasn't been tested on animals. Group: Emulsifiers. Alternative Names: Glyceryl Stearate Citrate. EINECS: 259-855-5. Salicylic Acid (Bulk)
Salicylic Acid is a restricted active and can be dangeous or even toxic if used innappropriately. Some people have salicylate allergies and can react to products containing this chemistry. Information: This additive is used in skin-care products for treating acne and pimple-prone skin, as well as various skin problems, such as warts, corns, calluses and psoriasis. It is also commonly used in dandruff shampoos. This is because of the acid's ability to cause skin cells to slough off, facilitating new skin cell growth, unclogging pores and removing overgrown skin cells. Usage Instructions: A maximum level of 2% is permitted in adult formulations that are to be left on the skin and 3% as a max for rinse off products. The ingredient is not to be used in products targeting children under the age of three except as part of the preservative or shampoo. Formulating Tips: Salicylic acid can be very tricky to add into an emulsion formulation (A cream or lotion) as it is not that soluble in water or oils. One option is to neutralise it into sodium salicylate by reacting it with Sodium Hydroxide. This will fizz in water until the reaction is complete, the salt is just as effective for the skin as the acid but has less solubility issues. Otherwise you can try dispersing it beforehand into a suitable solvent. Propylene Glycol and glycerine can help as can adding what is known as a hydrotrope (to improve solubility). Examples of this are urea and/ or Sodium Citrate. Group: Active. Alternative Names: Salicylic Acid. EINECS: 200-712-3. CAS No. 69-72-7. Pack Sizes: 100G; 500G; 1KG; 5KG; 20KG and above upon request. Product ID: RMAAACIDSALI. Format: This is supplied as a 100% active powder.Assay: Min 99%.
