| BL983322 EC Mini Controller | The BL983322 is a compact, panel mounted, process controller for measuring electrolytic conductivity (EC) of a process stream. The device features a large LCD with protective cover. Users may choose from automatic or manual dosing modes. When in automatic mode the dry contact relay is activated when a reading is above the set point. The relay can be used to activate a solenoid that switches from one DI (deionized) tank to another or to open a valve that will allow lower EC water to flow into a tank being monitored in order to lower its EC. The BL983322 can also be used to monitor the quality of water from DI tanks or from a distillation apparatus. The BL983322 measures EC from 0.00 to 19.99 µS/cm. | pH METER - ELECTRODE CARE OF | PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Many schools send pH meters to us for repair. For approximately 95% of these we find that the pH electrode is at fault. Given care it will last for quite A while - up to 3 years - but please note that, even for the best electrode available, it is considered acceptable if it functions for 1 year once activated. If not cleaned properly or left to dry out it may not be able to be resurrected. Try soaking in pH storage solution (cat.ALP 1825) for 24 hours. NEVER store A pH electrode in distilled water - the distilled water absorbs the ions out of the electrode electrolyte. By cleaning well after use and soaking electrode in storage solution or A buffer solution of about pH4 it is possible to extend its life considerably. As pH electrodes age they get sluggish in their operation and take longer to settle on A reading. Therefore more time needs to be allowed when calibrating and taking readings.
