Emulsifying Wax Vegetable (Bulk)
This easy-to-use emulsifying wax is derived from plant-based alcohols and sugars. It is typically used to help form oil-in-water emulsions such as lotions, creams, foundations, creamy face and body masks and other emulsified products. Material Origin : It is derived from sustainable palm source, wheat and corn. Appearance: Pastilles or Flakes. Use Level: Typically at 3-6% as the emulsification system in a cream. Can be used at higher levels where it will thicken the emulsion substantially, however using more than 6% in most formulations may lead to formula instability. Consider increasing your product's viscosity by adding Cetearyl Alcohol as a stand-alone ingredient plus this emulsifier used as suggested above. Chemistry: Non-Ionic. Solubility: Heat and melt in the oil phase of your formula. Group: Emulsifiers. Alternative Names: Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Glucoside, Aqua. EINECS: 267-008-6, 928-659-8, 231-791-2. CAS No. 67762-27-0, 246159-33-1, 7732-18-5. Pack Sizes: 100G; 500G; 1KG; 5KG; 20KG and above upon request. Product ID: RMSWCETEGLUC. Formula cautions: This emulsifier has a broad-tolerance for actives including acids, vitamins and salts and in many cases will be the only emulsifier required. However, we do recommend fully testing your emulsions prior to scale-up and in some cases, a secondary emulsifier or emulsion stabiliser may be useful. Please Note: As with any manufacturing process, New Directions encourages small, lab scale manufacturing for evaluation purposes prior to full commercial manufacturing.

Surfactant AN Base (Bulk)
INCI: Aqua, Caprylyl/ Capryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Chloride. Directions for use: This surfactant blend has been created as the cleansing base for your shampoos, body washes and facial wash products. It has been designed to be diluted with water, floral water or hydrosol at a rate of between 10-50% depending on the strength of cleansing you require. Formulations can also be customised with essential oils, extracts and actives, all of which should be tested in the base to make sure they are compatible. Activity Level: 45%. Use Level: Typical use levels are 10-50% as supplied (equivalent to between 4.5-22.5% as actives). Formulating tips for surfactant products: Adding vegetable oils to surfactant based products often causes stability issues and as such we recommend thorough stability testing of formulations that you create that contain oils. In general an oil-enriched cleansing product will only have between 0.1-2% oil phase in total. Essential oils can also interfere with the stability of the formula and may occasionally thin the product. It is best to start off with a small amount of essential oil (0.1-0.2%) and work up from there, observing any changes in viscosity and clarity. It is usual for essential oils and fragrances to be between 0.1-1% of the formula. Group: Surfactants. Alternative Names: Aqua, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate,Sodium Chloride,Sodium Benzoate. EINECS: 231-791-2, 500-220-1, 263-058-8, 266-197-2,231-598-3,208-534-8. CAS No. 7732-18-5, 68515-73-1, 61789-40-0, 66161-62-4,7647-14-5,532-32-1.
