| Bravium® | Bravium ® is a systemic insecticide from the pyridine azomethine chemical group, and has a unique mode of action. It stops aphids and whiteflies from feeding and they subsequently starve to death. Because of its selectivity, Bravium ® is highly suited for use in IPM programmes. Bravium ® has translaminar and systemic activity within the plant. First symptoms are visible within 15 minutes after direct contact or ingestion. Feeding stops within 1 hour and death by starvation occurs within 3 days. Aphids may still be visible on the plant a few days after treatment, but they will not be causing damage and will no longer be able to transmit viruses. In aphids, Bravium ® is active on all mobile forms. | Nuron® | Nuron ® is a selective insecticide that exhibits excellent control of potato/tomato psyllid in potatoes. It is a nonsystemic Insect Growth Inhibitor (IGI) with strong stomach and moderate contact activity and is also the only GROUP 15 insecticide registered for TPP control in potatoes. Following 3 years of Plant & Food Research trials, Nuron ® has proved to be highly effective against TPP nymphs (showing 98-100% control of nymphs) - some of which may be resistant to other chemical groups. Nuron ® should be used as part of an early-to-mid season preventative programme for the control of TPP, just before an infestation is likely to occur. | Supremis® 100SC | Supremis ® 100SC is a systemic insecticide for the control of mealy bug in grapes, and tomato/potato psyllid in field tomatoes and potatoes. Supremis ® 100SC is a lipid biosynthesis inhibitor, which is active via ingestion. Supremis ® 100SC has two-way systemic activity in the plant, as it moves both upwards and downwards. This assists in distributing the insecticide throughout the plant, and thereby targeting pests which may be difficult to contact with other insecticides. The active ingredient - spirotetramat - moves both down to roots and up to new growth that may not have been directly sprayed. It is redistributed to the most vulnerable tissue via both the phloem and xylem. Sucking pests primarily ingest it orally, ensuring uptake of a lethal dose wherever they are feeding.
