| KUNDT'S DUST TUBE | For determination of the velocity of longitudinal vibrations (sound) in metal rods, air or other gases. Apparatus consists of A rod inside a mounted glass tube. When the rod is rubbed it vibrates. Size of glass tube - 100cm long x 3cm diameter. It is supported on A metal base by grooved bridges and clamped with special coil springs. A 90cm long aluminium rod carries A disc at one end which just fits inside the glass tubing.
