An INSECTICIDE to control ants and nests. Active ingredient: Contains 50 g/kg boric acid in the form of a bait. Mode of action: Boric acid acts as stomach poison. Available evidence suggests that boric acid may suppress absorption of nutrients. RECOMMENDED USES: Place many small amounts (1-2 pea size) where ants are seen or have been seen in the past. The bait can be placed on clean and rinsed jar lids, pieces of aluminium foil or similar. Protect the bait from direct sun, children and pets. Ants change their feeding habits from protein to sugars depending on the requirements of the colony at the time. Gel Bait contains high protein and the Liquid Bait higher sugars. If you find ants are not feeding on one, replace it with the other. Pack size: 60 and 250 gram tubes. Categories: INSECTICIDES, Control Ants
Surfactant AN Base (Bulk)
INCI: Aqua, Caprylyl/ Capryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Chloride. Directions for use: This surfactant blend has been created as the cleansing base for your shampoos, body washes and facial wash products. It has been designed to be diluted with water, floral water or hydrosol at a rate of between 10-50% depending on the strength of cleansing you require. Formulations can also be customised with essential oils, extracts and actives, all of which should be tested in the base to make sure they are compatible. Activity Level: 45%. Use Level: Typical use levels are 10-50% as supplied (equivalent to between 4.5-22.5% as actives). Formulating tips for surfactant products: Adding vegetable oils to surfactant based products often causes stability issues and as such we recommend thorough stability testing of formulations that you create that contain oils. In general an oil-enriched cleansing product will only have between 0.1-2% oil phase in total. Essential oils can also interfere with the stability of the formula and may occasionally thin the product. It is best to start off with a small amount of essential oil (0.1-0.2%) and work up from there, observing any changes in viscosity and clarity. It is usual for essential oils and fragrances to be between 0.1-1% of the formula. Group: Surfactants. Alternative Names: Aqua, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate,Sodium Chloride,Sodium Benzoate. Urea (Bulk)
Urea has long been used in skincare for its unique combination of keratolytic and powerful hydrating properties. This keratolytic (exfoliating) property can be used in cosmetics to help with the rapid turnover of skin cells leading to the improvement of dry and scaly skin. Urea is also part of your skin's "Natural Moisturising Factor" (NMF). The NMF being composed of Lactic Acid and Lactate Salts (usually Sodium Lactate), Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acid (PCA), Urea, Metal Ions, Sugars and Amino Acids. This makes urea both a humectant and moisturizer that promotes rehydration of the skin and helps to replenish natural moisture content of the skin. On top of this, it acts as an anti-inflammatory agent on skin that may have a damaged barrier function. Numerous studies have proven the benefits of this ingredient in treating dry, damaged and irritated skin. Ideal for use In: Creams and lotions for dry skin. After-sun products. Shampoos and body washes. Body scrubs. Cracked heal and elbow moisturizers. Hand and foot creams. Formulation Guidelines: Add to the water phase of formulations. Not heat sensitive. Can be disruptive to many emulsification and thickening systems. We recommend trialling use of urea in small batches to avoid wasting raw materials. Group: Active. Alternative Names: Urea. EINECS: 200-315-5. CAS No. 57-13-6. Pack Sizes: 100G; 500G; 1KG; 5KG; 20KG and above upon request. Product ID: RMAAUREA. Material Origin: Synthetic. Recommended Usage: 2 - 15%Solubility: Water soluble, also partially soluble in ethanol and glycerineFormula Tips: Urea is very salty and can substantially compromise emulsion stability if the emulsion hasn't been designed with Urea in mind. If you are considering adding this to your formula start with low levels and split your batch into two, trying the urea in one half and not in the other so you can benchmark the changes that the addition of Urea has on your formula.
