| Plantaserv C | This preservative is chemically similar to our Plantaserv D but it has been produced using a slightly different process which allows it to be used in some certified organic formulations unlike the Plantaserv D. The certifying bodies that have approved this preservative are the OFC, COSMOS and Ecocert. Origin: Plant based. Heat Stability: Relatively good can be added into your product at temperatures up to 80C. Dose Rate: 4% is the maximum amount that can be used. 3-4% is a typical addition rate. Group: Preservatives. | Plantaserv D | Benefits: Antimicrobial, skin conditioning, viscosity modifying. Applications: Odour Mask, Nature-identical preservative system, skin conditioning (hydrating). Origin: This blend contains nature-identical chemical components that are derived from a range of sources. The plant derived equivalent is Plantaserv C. Solubility: Water Soluble. Heat Stability: Relatively good can be added into your product at temperatures up to 80C. pH range: 4.5-5.5 is ideal but we have had success with products that have pH ranges slightly outside of this (3-6). Always be sure to run Preservative Efficacy Testing before settling on your formulation. Use Level: 3-4%. Do not exceed 4% in your formulation. Group: Preservatives. It is a unique formulation with multi functional actions, offering the consumer many beneficial uses in their cosmetic manufacturing procedures. Features: It is made up of a combination of phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin. Appearance: Clear colourless liquid. Odour: Characteristic. Viscosity: Medium.
