WEED WEAPON LONG TERM Quick enquiry. Where to buy Suppliers range | A non-selective HERBICIDE for the control of most annual and perennial grass and broadleaf weeds in a wide range of situations. Intended for home garden and small scale commercial use, to be applied by hand-held or back-pack sprayer. Chemical group: N-(phosphonomethyl) glycine, (Saflufenacil) Pyrimidindione and Triazine (Terbuthylazine). Active ingredient: Contains 300 g/litre terbuthylazine, 141 g/litre glyphosate and 1.43 g/litre saflufenacil in the form of a soluble concentrate. HSNO classes: 6.1E, 6.3A, 6.4A, 6.8B, 9.1A, 9.2A, 9.3C Approved Handler: This product must be under the personal control of an Approved Handler during use. Mode of action: Saflufenacil - PPO (protoporphyrinogen-IX-oxidase) inhibitor (HRAC Group E Herbicide). Taken up by roots, shoots and foliage of plants with translocation mostly in the xylem. The foliage of susceptible weeds shows signs of desiccation within a few hours. Selectivity is conferred by physical placement and more rapid metabolism of saflufenacil in tolerant crop species. Glyphosate - Taken in only through foliage and translocated to all parts of the plant including roots and rhizomes. Acts within the plant by inhibiting protein synthesis. Visible effects are a gradual wilting and yellowing of foliage. Brown-off may take 7-14 days or longer depending on growing conditions. Terbuthylazine - Absorbed through both roots and leaves for pre- and post-emergent treatment. Translocated upwards in the plant to inhibit photosynthesis at the growing point. Effects take about 3 weeks to appear. RECOMMENDED USES: Weeds controlled: Rapid knockdown of grasses such as annual poa and ryegrass; and broadleaved weeds such asdandelion, docks, clover, mallows, plantains and tall willow herb. Will control fathen, black nightshade, broadleaf docks(seedling), willow weed and wireweed, and will suppress pink shamrock. Terbuthylazine controls a wide range of annual and perennial grass and broadleaf weeds including barley grass, black nightshade, browntop, catsear, chickweed, clovers, cocksfoot, doves foot, fathen, Kentucky blue grass, lotus, Poa spp, redroot, ryegrass, seedling gorse, shepherds purse, storksbill, sweet vernal, thistles, willow weed and Yorkshire fog.
