| Sodium Ferrocyanide | Sodium Ferrocyanide is the sodium salt of the coordination compound of formula [Fe(CN)6]4-. It is a yellow crystalline solid that is soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. Sodium ferrocyanide is a chemical food additive known as E535 in the EU. It is added to road and food grade salt as an anticaking agent. When combined with iron, it converts to a deep blue pigment called prussian blue. It is used as a stabilizer for the coating on welding rods. In the petroleum industry, it is used for removal of mercaptans. Grades: Technical and Food. Chemical formula: [Fe(CN)6]4. The addition of an acid tolerant detergent provides a medium for cleaning petroleum-based greases, dirts and fatty materials. This provides for the product being effective in the janitorial industry for shower blocks and toilets and is ideal for vehicle and equipment maintenance where there is not only environmental soiling but also diesel fumes, oils, greases and other contaminants that come into contact with the surfaces to be cleaned.
